Tiana Yung, Therapist in Training

Hi, I’m Tiana!

I’m a therapist-in-training and I’m deeply curious about what shapes us, including our relationships, experiences, cultures and systems, emotions, and the expectations we carry. After five years as a high school teacher, I value the importance of creating spaces where people feel seen and know that they are more than what they accomplish or how well they are doing.

As a second-generation Chinese Canadian, I understand how family dynamics, cultural expectations, identity, relationships, and messages we receive about who we are “supposed” to be can all affect how we see ourselves and interact with the world. If you carry pressure, navigate complex relationships, struggle with people-pleasing or perfectionism, or feel caught between different expectations, you’ve come to the right place!

My approach is warm, empathetic, and collaborative. I draw from different therapeutic approaches and tailor our work to you (I don’t believe in a one-size fits all). Together, we can slow it down, become curious about what is happening within you, explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, or build greater confidence and resilience. We can also make space for reconnecting with yourself, your relationships, and what matters most to you. So, with that being said, I’d love to hear your story!
